Dahil Sa Galing Bata …

Share the lessons learned and impact of Galing Bata on your life.

How do I even begin... Whenever I'm asked what the IMPACT of GB is on me, I always feel overwhelmed because GB fills my heart in so many ways. Back in April 2023, as a new immigrant who felt "homesick," at that time everything was new to me, and I was in the midst of figuring things out, but GB found me. GB really did help me grow and find myself in this big city :)) The Ate's supported my skills, and they never doubted them. They always remind me of how much I grew, and it really means a lot to me. Because of all of that, I am so motivated, not just for being an ATE/PROGRAM LEADER but also in my everyday life. I am truly lucky to live in a community that is so kind and healthy. Thanks to GB for letting me grow and learn with them. Thank you for trusting me and my skills. GB will forever be part of me, and I cannot wait to spend more years, more learnings, and more memories with everyone in GB. MARAMING SALAMAT PO for choosing me to be one of the Ate's and for letting the students see me as a role model. I will forever cherish GB in my heart. The lesson that I learned in GB that I will always hold with me is that "THERE IS ALWAYS A ROOM FOR GROWTH." ❤️

Share one example of how you have seen Galing Bata’s “Gabay, Lingap at Bantay” in action. It could be during a time when you were a student, volunteer or staff.

One example that I can share is how GB always prioritizes the students and how hands-on they are. Also, they don't just care for the kids; they also care for the parents. GB has always been open to all families.

What is one wish you have for our students and families we serve?

My wish for the students that we serve is that no matter where they are, how old they are, or what school they are in, in the future, I hope that they still hold onto what they learn from GB :)) And for the families, I hope they keep on supporting our community so we can keep on sharing how beautiful our program is. 😊

Share us your favorite self-care or wellness activity that you practice.

I love journaling.

To really get a glimpse of who you are, what Filipino songs are you currently listening to?

Para Sa Akin (Jason Dhakal version) 🙈
